Symposium Introduction

Welcome to the Responsible AI in Education symposium, presented by POIETO in collaboration with Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC), scheduled for Friday, February 23rd, 2024, at the OCCC Visual and Performing Arts Center. This dynamic one-day event aims to unite leaders and learners exploring AI’s impact on OCCC and the broader higher education landscape.

The symposium will provide an overview of AI and equip participants with the knowledge and skills essential for navigating the responsible integration of AI into the higher education experience. Faculty and administrative staff will learn how to incorporate AI in ethical and inclusive ways to support students and prepare them for future academic and career success.

With a special focus on Oklahoma educators, businesses, and leaders, the Responsible AI in Education Symposium provides an open platform for dialogue and exploration of AI's role in shaping the state's future. Participants will earn the OCCC AI for Higher Education Professionals micro-credential upon completion of pre- and post-event surveys.
